Yesterday some of our Sales team members went along to support one of our charities, Running Space on their ‘Midnight to Midnight Relay’ to raise awareness of World Prevention Suicide Day and to raise money for their amazing cause.
The event started at midnight on Friday 9th September with groups of people setting off on the hour, every hour for a 24 hour period, who ran or walked loops around Sidley starting and ending at The Pelham on Bexhill seafront.
Rob, Josh, Liam and Sidney from our Sales team took the 5pm slot, taking to the streets in the particularly warm weather completing their lap before enjoying a well-deserved drink with the team.
Rob Viles, Sales Manager in Hastings said “We were so honoured to be a part of this inspiring event with this incredible charity who make sure a difference in peoples lives, we made a donation on behalf of Oakfield and they were really pleased and thankful for this, it was great to see that our support means so much and was a pleasure to meet these these truly amazing people”
Running Space is a local charity which is very close to our hearts, their purpose is to run or walk shoulder to shoulder with people who need their support, to give them the opportunity to share their thoughts and feeling and to know they are not alone. Its not just about the running they also run community events, drop ins and they also run ‘Safe Take’ which is suicide prevention training open to all.
